One of bests
After couple months of surfing in elite-games, for me this game is best over here. HexEmpire has formula of the best game - simple, addictive, interesting and challenging. My browser shows 43 visits in less than 7 days and with each visit I'm playing multi maps. Such my addiction can beat only Raze game. This game is in my top 2.
Good things: Countless maps, smart AI, very simple
Bad things: No multiplayer mode, after hundreds of wins no more challenging, not much of strategy features.

Tips for newbs:
Choose capital with most cities around, plan ahead - You need have more cities than closest neighbor when You have a front line with him. Then keep pushing on him till You defeat him, others 2 will be busy with each other. If one of others 2 nations closing in, try make a pact with him. Try concentrate only on one nation. After You beat closest nation, send full armys to frontline and start attacking when only one nation will left. Move straight for capital is best, but try keep enemys busy in other places to make him split troops.
Dont leave full army in cities - when armys grows to 99, send it to harbor or frontline, so growing will not stop.
Taking harbors boost morale.
Calculate - if You know that army will fail, do not attack - better merge it with other army or send to town. Loosing fights decreasing morale

I understand the guest who said this game sucks opinion becuase most maps are stacked in the other teams favor. Even if you do know how to play it can be difficult so i used cheats.

Could be fun, but the logistics are just too basic, and the computer is quite savage about just running to your capital to beat you... not even 10% as fun as real risk.

AWESOME game love it, its kinda like risk but risk is more funner :) the guy said it sucks not to make you mad but you just got to know what to do i just don't like all the maps most maps sucks yea and i can under stand where you have 99 men 66 kills you thats because they have more lil dots then you but the maps that i like are 330681, 151618, 323519, 296548 they are easy :)

never give up like some people. ive played 500,000 maps already with every nation. im planning to beat all the maps with every nation. just find a good stratgy and usually that stratgy will work most of the time. GREAT GAME GUYS!

Everywhere this is getting rave reviews and I don't know why. It's not a good game by any stretch of the imagination. It's a random generator, and it's all based on luck. There is no strategy involved. Just find a map, and pick the capital that is surrounded by cities. That's not strategy. If you do this you can win on hard without batting an eye. What's even better is if you can get a map that three of the four players have is;and nations.
So I tried the othwer perspective, and I attempted to play through a campaign with a nation that didn't have good placement. I decided that when I lost on easy mode that the game failed. I also noticed that 9/10 times you play the bluegaria defeats greenland before you can even step foot into viotletnam territory. And the Violetnamese seem to hate you. So you then have to fight on two fronts. It's either laughably easy, or punishingly difficult. No strategy here.

It's actually not a bad game. A little hard at first but once you work out a strategy it's not to hard......as for that person saying it's "impossible"......maybe you should try something a little easier....like snakes and ladders

This game is so boring it makes watching paint dry seem fun! It is impossible, not necessarily due to the challenge, but to the poor game control. Elite game? More like Elite Fail!
