Suggestions
Since your intested in wc3 themes, what about a footman map? Kinda like your hq spawns units periodically but you can control them. If you get enough kills your units are upraded when they are spawned or the type is changed. You get your hero as well. It would be a 1v1v1v1 map or 2v2. Each player on the conners of the map.
Fire, Light, Earth, death, sound like bland tower names, maybe you could make the towers more to the theme. Here is some new names that could work: Machinegun Nest, Sniper post, flame bunker, lazer turrent, frost sentry, rocket tower.
Capturable health towers(foutains) could be added to provide troops health if it's been captured.
Perhaps there could be more guns that can be purchached, or even hero only gets one gun but the rest would be bought. Like a railgun, light machine gun, and rocket launcher. Perhaps even items, that increase attack speed, health or other effects.
Maybe the longer you hold a coal mine, the more money you get out of it, that would encourage you to keep them for long periods of time.
